Thinking of trading my 2013 outback I've had for 5,000 miles. While there is no mechanical issues, I'm having trouble getting comfortable with it. I't seems road noisey for my tast, and the radio sucks. We allready have an '08 prius, and the ride difference is not that different from the OB. If I must compromise, I'll take the reliability and mpgs.

I came from 2014 Outback Premium into 2012 Prius v. Outback was more comfortable in terms of NVH. However, my back and seating position is much more comfortable and better supported on the Prius v so I can drive longer distances more comfortably.
Radio is more feature-full on a Prius--such as better bluetooth, much much better iphone/USB support on Prius v. But raw sound quality when playing a simple audio CD was way better on the Outback.

I just picked up a new 2016 (2), trading our 5 month old 2013 Outback Premium. After 5,000 miles, I just could not get comfortable in it. I am very happy with my decision getting 42 mpg and a quieter comfortable ride,

I loved my 2008 Barcelona Red Prius, but couldn't fit my dogs in the back. Got the 2017 v with the moon roof (LOVE that) and gave the family Prius to my teens. They were unimpressed - but it beats telling a girl, "I'll pedal right over and pick you up."

I gave up a lexus 400h. The lexus had 106K miles on it and I knew I probably had high cost repairs coming up and now have a very long daily commute for car pool. I also had one of my children leave for college so I no longer needed a big vehicle. It was a bit of a transition because of the prius seats and vibration. I had a hard time with the hard, wide bucket seats. I was honestly considering trading it back in for another non hybrid lexus (because of cost with a kid in college) but I got the McCarty's sacro ease and it made a huge difference thankfully. Now that I'm not in pain with the seats, I like the V. I do feel a bit more cramped but am getting used to it. I do like the bluetooth option that my lexus did not have. I can listen to my audio books or pandora on my long drive and that is nice. I also like the gas milage. I was having to fill up at least twice a week before, but now I can get away with once a week or even a little less. I also like the reclining back seats on the V. My husband has the prius hatchback as a commuter car and the car pool kids definitely like the back seats of the V more. Overall, I am happy with it. Just happy I was able to fix the seat issue, because that was a big one.

We (excited husband and reluctant wife) replaced a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander with really low miles (70K) for a used 2012 Prius V Five with 62K miles in really good condition (previous owner even got the tires rotated at dealership as soon as the dash light came on). My wife initially missed her SUV but is warming up to the Prius and definitely enjoys the modern amenities like Bluetooth and entune features. We keep it in power mode all the time though as otherwise it does not feel as responsive.
I had been looking for almost two years for a V Five and could not pass up the deal. Paid only $11,750 which is a hell of a deal if i say so myself

Have a 2014 Elantra GT 6 speed stick with the 1.8 EFI (only year it was available). I got the Prius so my son can learn to drive, although he did start out with a Honda Odyssey. Every one still kids me about my middle aged crisis. Usually when we think of driving, wife or I normally take the Elantra.

Had a 2006 Scion tC with MT and wanted something with more cargo space. It was a toss between a Gen 3 or a Rav4 or CRV. Found a great deal on a 2013 v and since then, I'm glad I chose the v over the gen3 hatch.

Both cargo space and rear seat leg room were big sellers for us.

2015 Chevy SS miss the instant acceleration and the creature comforts. I'll get a nice sport coupe years from now when I can have a DD and a weekend car.

    2005 Jeep Liberty.

When I noticed I would only be giving up two-ish cubic feet internally and would be getting twice the MPG it was a no brainer. I even went out of my way to find my (new to me) 2012 Prius v. Now to just get a roof rack and a hitch. lol

My trusty '07 Accord. Clutch went bad and was a hefty repair on a car only I could drive (wife has bad knee so clutch use over a long drive hurts her).

So we decided on something more fuel efficient, automatic and YUUUGE space wise.

Just sold the Accord last night to a college kid who needed a low cost and easily repairable car. Win/Win for everyone.

I traded in a 2007 Toyota Avalon with 180,000+ miles for a gently used Prius v Five with about 45,000 miles. I used to average about 24 mpg in mixed city/highway driving in the Avalon and now average about 44 mpg.
