For the ECO savings screen (described on page 128 of the user's manual), which average fuel consumption value have you used to compare the Gen4 to?
The lifetime avg fuel consumption of your previous vehicle or some other value?
And considering the Prius is always 5-6% optimistic (at least my gen3 is), put a lifetime average calculated value adjusted with that extra optimistic margin, to make comparison relative to each other correct (even if absolute values are optimistic)?

I never bothered with that screen or inputting the gas price. I put all of that in a spreadsheet.

I use 56 which is the combined rating for the Two Eco.

So you are comparing the current fuel consumption with the combined rating of the same car?
I thought this view was meant to compare to another car.

You can use it in any manner that you want. If you set it at the car's EPA combined value, you will be saving money if you exceed the EPA and losing money if you fall short. It makes sense to me. In April I saved around $24 IIRC using that logic. It is a quick way to see how you are doing. No calculation needed.
