    Those are called "air quotes" and are analogous to scare quotes in print.

    eeek. I think I may have been responsible for them in the past. I would add that I have never used air quotes though!

    How about air-typing as they relate the content of an email they typed? I actually don't mind that, depends on the person/context/presentation I guess.
