I installed a Smart Start remote starter last weekend. DIY. After the snow this weekend... I installed it just in time!

Congratulations. Doesn't get any bigger than that.

 

Shift knob mod. It's almost triple the size of the OEM knob, and takes getting used to. Not sure what I think of it.

 

I have that same shift knob. Once you get used to the bigger size, you'll find the stock knob laughably small. The only disadvantage is it blocks the EV button from view (but you already know where it is) and the RHD shift pattern might confuse people borrowing your car.

 

No one "borrows" my car, not even my wife. I make her so nervous every time she sits in it - "careful this, careful that" - that she refuses to drive it.

I figure the Toyota service people know what they are doing... Discount Tire or Costco for new rubber perhaps.

 

Yes, I've had no problems with them including valet. They drive the Prius enough that they know the shift pattern by heart.

 

I did transmission oil change on my prius today. It was fun. I had changed the transmission oil for the first tme at around 72k miles when i bought it and then changed now at 87k to flush since the first fluid was plain black water and this time it was dark purple so now im going to change it every 30k from now on.

 

I cleaned the foot of snow off mine today

Yes it is.

 

It's the "gungrip" JDM steering wheel. Most people have the other "cancer grip" version.

That does have the gungrip, but you'd be getting more expensive carbon fiber version. The "gungrip" piano black is much cheaper:
