    Ouch, that looks like the damage incurred when a spinning road debris went under a previous car of mine and pierced the gas tank.

    Or, since I don't see any leaking out. I bet they forgot to put oil back in, after drain it. Anyway, that blows.

    I'm assuming that the tech didn't tighten the drain bolt. I drove approx 120 miles before the oil pressure warning came on, then there was a loud violent bang (rod going through the block) & white smoke. I was barely able to pull to the shoulder.

    When they removed the service cover, a piece of the block dropped......& no drain plug in the oil pan.

    If it was just a loose drain plug, you would have oily mess all under your ride, all the way to the back. But if it's clean, you would know that they forgot the drain plug and the oil. Either way, they need to make it right.... :sick:

    If Ford could make it right with me with a previous car, Toyota better do good with him. I had a Mustang with an internal oil leak that the dealer didn't catch until it was too late (despite taking it in every 3000k mikes) near the end of the warranty and they gave me a new engine.

    Nope, too close to the sidewall. You're going to have to replace that tire or buy a pair.

    There was oil all over the underside & the rear bumper & hatch. Very messy.

    My service advisor told me not to worry I'm assuming it will be taken car of.

    In the meantime, I'm in a '13 PIP w/ ATP. Plugged it in overnight. Went out to day. It said I only have 13 miles of EV only!
    I thought they got more EV miles than that.

    Insist on a new engine. Dealers always attempt the cheapest route whenever possible.

    A buddy of mine had this happen in college after a trip to Valvoline. Midway though his 2 hour drive back to campus the oil light came on as the plug fell out on the Thruway. They even bought him a new motor for his hardly new Cavalier.
