What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

That sucks! Is it because we're running you ragged making you mod all our cars?

This does seem to be a trend. I have to admit, I've been spending so much cash modding my Prius the thought had occurred to me that I should get a less moddable car. Uuhhmmm... but not until I'm finished!

I've sold or tossed most all of my OEM parts. If I'm out, I'll have to sell my car as is.

Is the general consensus that it's better to sell your parts and then trade-in in OEM state? I would expect you're better off selling the car as-is to an individual and then taking the cash as a down payment for your next purchase.

if you have time to wait for the right buyer (who would buy the car modded) and the right price then sell it as it is.....

but in my experience on my Gen 2 and Gen 3...... it's better to return to stock and sell the items.... there will be more buyers for a stock car than a modded one.......

 

I got scared to death Now I'm back to happy.

 

I disabled the Tire Pressure Monitoring System by spicing 12 volt power into the signal input wire. Works great.. took me a while to get it going. Paperclip didn't work reliably. Couldn't make good contact.

My other thought when I saw your post earlier was "Aw damn... Now I'm gonna feel weird asking for mods if he's not driving a prii anymore". Such an emotional roller coaster

My other thought was that this character had lost his mind and was trading in on a VW Diesel! I hear you can get one real cheap right now!

 

That is why I'm keeping mine "Looking Like Stock"

 

Passenger side mirror is gone for good, and about 55 lbs out of the car so far. Other mods include: lowered (on Tein H-tech), lower grill blocked, solid wheel covers, rear wiper removed. This week or next I'll finish retrofitting Murano LED and Corolla LED low-beam projectors into the headlights (2 11W projectors per side).

 

Interesting modifications! I like modders who have the courage to take a different path to make their car unique. It looks like you deleted the passenger wiper too!

 

Thanks! The goal is 50mpg at 75mph on three road trips next year (longest 4200 miles round trip). It's recently paid off, and I don't plan on ever selling it, so now I'm starting in on the permanent mods.
