Red bullet solinoid just came in too.

The claim of this thing does:
    - decrease delay between hitting the gas and acceleration

    - much improved acceleration

-10 more mpg ( at least with the Prius C)

Several members have already claimed this all to be true 20190625_165032.jpg 20190625_184433_HDR.jpg

I've had my red bullet for over a month now. Definite improvement.

I've also got a crazy VVTi controller coming that claims to lower the VVTi activation point even more. We'll see how that does!

I've been procrastinating about installing mine. I hate waking up early, so by the time I'm up and ready, it's already blazing hot. Maybe the 5th, after I've had a day off...

Anyway, they're available on ebay: Red Bullet

That one talks about a bunch of brands I've never heard of. This one rates Wix and NAPA Gold (same manufacturer, he says) highly:

Now I see there's a NAPA Platinum as well -- claimed to be far superior, but more expensive.

Man, let me know how well this works on the roof. I regularly run a roof mounted rack for bikes and the amount of noise that comes from the roof with the rack on, drives me nuts. Nicely done. Ive been considering the doors and roof at a minimum. You may have just pushed me to do it.

Check the red bullet thread, I did 3 runs on a drag strip with it and three runs without it. You can see the results there, it does help.

Ouch! Was the spacer allowing longitudinal movement between the spring and body mount? That tall and entirely rubber, it seems like it would. If there was a metal spacer you could bolt to the lower mount, like coilover spring mounts, that might prevent something like this.

Oh. the process was a PIA that adhesive is a mess to work with. luckily the wife wasn't home while I tore up the kitchen getting these things apart and back together. I had to reheat numerous times in the oven since it cooled off quickly.

Nice! How much modification did you have to do to get the lens in?
