Today I removed the stupid dealer logo decal thing. Based on others suggestions, I thought I would need the hairdryer but it came right off! I think the car was so clean it didn't adhere very well.

Then I latched in the cargo net, spread a blanket on the seats for the dog to lie on, and I was off!!

70.1 mpg averaged on my first commute to work! AWESOME!!! Can't wait til tomorrow.

Which cargo net do you have? Vertical or horizontal?

If it is the vertical one, do you have pictures showing how it is attached?

It is vertical. I have a pic, but not close enough to show how it is attached. I read about the separation issue that some folks have experienced, but since mine is just 2 days old, I haven't had the chance to really load it up!

If I get a chance tonight, I'll take a pic of the attachment and post it here.

Now, all you need to do is to train that brazen little hussy of yours not to let any old car hit on her!

Yeah, I'm always so relieved to get out of a rental.

Wow! You must have taken some awful ride after you were hit. Did you spin and hit something (or two somethings)?

What is that wood stuck in between the right front fender and the door?

Whew . . . Are you still shaking?

I was knocked out after the first collision so I'm not having too many nightmares. My girlfriend and her family are a different story. :(

Well, I actually got the full story of the accident today. Turns out the drunk guy hit the front left about where my legs would be. I saw him running the stop sign and made the split second decision to steer away from him rather than brake. Multiple doctors have told me that saved our lives; in more ways than one I'm learning.

Because I was steering away, I re-directed the car after we were hit in such a way that we hit a brick warehouse somehow with the left rear end of the car, bounced off of that, hit a telephone pole on the right front side (hence the wood), rattled around and then veered right again back onto the street from the sidewalk. Apparently I was still somewhat awake because I was actively moving the car away from complete disaster.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack another thread haha.

I'm sorry you have to deal with all of this . . .

. . . but I'm very glad you are alive to deal with it.

Not to worry! No hijack here, anyway. We'll be back to the interesting daily activities soon enough.

I put some 303 Aerospace Protectant on black exterior trim. First time trying that brand today. They say it's one of the best, and so far it looks that way!

Cleaned the front and rear outside glass with some Griot's Garage glass cleaner wipes, followed up with a Griot's Garage microfiber window towel. Nice stuff!

I didn't do anything to my Prius today because I don't have one.

However, as of 10am tomorrow that will all change.

Great looking. 100% better than those plastic caps.
