Energy monitor, I find it easier to maintain better mileage using that screen.

I use the Eco score on the dash. I energy monitor on the display audio screen. And finely on the scanguage I have intent mpg, rpm, foreword coolant temp, (have my grill blocked), and finely avg mpg.

Eco score - keep the green ribbon on the line separating Charge and ECO whenever possible and glide---. At about 42 MPG the ICE will turn off and you won't use battery energy. Pretty slick!

It appears on two screens - ECO Score and ECO Savings (if ECO Savings is set to "Basic" display).

As far as I'm concerned, Energy Monitor is for entertaining new visitors to my c, because it has the pretty arrows going back and forth and is what people seem to expect to see for what tends to be their first Prius experience. It does also help explain how the power sources work together.

ECO Score is for driving... it lets me fine tune my inputs based on what the road and traffic are doing and where the car is at.

I really meant HSI and not Energy Monitor :0 EM really is only good for first time riders.

Eco score. I sometimes flip to five minute if I'm on a longer trip with highway.

At first I used Eco score all the time but I didnt like it when I saw the "power" in red light up. I felt the car was telling me I was driving too fast...lol....
So now its Energy Monitor....I like the recycling of energy...

Energy Monitor is interesting to watch, but I find the Eco Score display easier to see and less distraction from the road.

I'm giving the Eco Score screen a shot, so far I am still adjusting. Hard to tell if it's me or the cooler temps that is causing a slight decrease in my mileage.

After trying out most I think long-term I'll be using the Eco Score screen. It's a fun little game each time I go from stopped to moving and then stopped again. It's like playing a video game on my way to work.

On long trips I use the 5 minute average. Commuting I use Eco screen with fuel savings turned off so that it shows me the cost of fuel used.

I'm still getting used to the Eco Score screen, but I like it. I have no problem getting good numbers on start and cruise, but for some reason I can rarely get more than 4 out of 5 for the stopping. For starters, I'm not quite sure what it wants for a "perfect" stop, and then I frequently find myself having to brake suddenly for an unexpected red light... Where I might have punched up the speed in my old car to race the yellow, I now brake instead of risking the run and going into power mode.
