    I have QUITE a family.

    Here are the bichons frisé:

Sugar is 11, Lacey is 6; Marlin is 10 and Ozzy is "at least 15." I volunteer with a bichon rescue, and I fostered Marlin for 5 months, and Ozzy for 7 months. Two years ago, I did not own a dog. Sugar is from that same rescue, Small Paws Rescue. (www.smallpawsrescue.org) She is my first bichon, and the reason I fell in love with the breed. Lacey is from the city dog pound, she is my velcro girl and quite the tom boy. She doesn't allow me out of her sight, even though she has been living here for 14 months now. Ozzy is the eldest and the smallest, just barely 10 pounds soaking wet. Marlin is the largest at 17.8 pounds. The girls can be difficult to tell apart, especially if they go to the groomer on the same day as they are 12.4 and 12.8 pounds.

And this the my whole family:

The pets are in order of coming to live with me, with the dogs arriving between Bobby and Chaplin's arrivals here.

The dogs you've met: they are in order in this pic: Sugar, Lacey, Marlin and Ozzy.
    The cats are:
    Sparkle, Vita, Chestnut, Cuddles, Crystal
Ebony, Bobby, Chaplin, Tommy, Tuppence, and Mandy.

Tommy and Tuppence are brother and sister, and are cousins to Bobby. Chaplin and Mandy are also cousins.

The first row of cats are rescues, Sparkle is my oldest at 12 years.
Tommy and Tuppence are my youngest, they just turned one year old Aug 27th. (I saw their birth!)
The second row are from my TNRM work:

I volunteer with a feral cat rescue, doing TNRM: Trap, Neuter, Return, Maintain. When we trap a kitten, we work to socialize the youngster, then put them up for adoption. Except I kept all mine. The cousins are from the same feral cat colony, with their moms as sisters. I worked at 7 different colonies doing trapping.

Needless to say, I do NOT foster for either group any longer. I help in other ways, with transport, fund raising, hosting booths at events, and so forth.

All the cats and all the dogs get along together quite well. I have photos of my bed with cats and dogs snuggled together sleeping. (I sleep on the floor; NOT! :D)

I chose the Prius drivetrain because I think it the the coolest and best use of technology, horsepower, efficiency and innovation. And nobody has ever come close.

:rolleyes::hug::hug:If you look closely, you will see a glimpse of our small log home in the background.

There are now three less big trees in the yard due to "Ike" but this is the peaceful place we call home.

Silver Pine Mica is a soft extension of our greenery. My husband built the fence....GOOD HUSBAND and Happy Wifey. I thought the photo coveyed serenity and tranquility and Gratitude <3

With my avatars I try to give a glimpse of my life or where I live. I used to use a photo of our sailboat Suzy anchored at Beaver Island. I have been a lifelong sailor, we designed and built Suzy, and Beaver Island is one of my favorite places and only a day's sail from here. That one photo captured many facets of my life.

My current avatar is me climbing at the red river gorge in Kentucky. I picked this one because you can see me and it gives the illusion that I might be exciting. Climbing is one of our favorite activities, and the "red" is our home crag, even though it is some distance from where we live. Northern Michigan is not very good for rock climbers. All of our rock is buried under several hundred feet of glacial till.

I've used this same avatar for some time. PC went through a period where avatars didn't work well, and changing was a crap shoot. I haven't tried it with the new software, but I suppose it's almost time.

At the moment, mine says I'm hoping the Phillies can close out the Rays and win the World Series.

My old one [IMG] says I'm a fan of BlackAdder, British comedy in general and Hugh Laurie in particular.

If mine isn't obvious, then we're all in big trouble. We're killing ourselves by using gasoline. Yes, even in the Prius.

Ha, no. I ride a bike for most miles as well. When I don't or can't ride, I drive an EV. Only when that's not available, or the trip is too far do I resort to the least efficient, and most polluting vehicle in our stable - the Prius. Still, I ride more miles than I drive in ANY vehicle.

That's beautiful, man! I'm gonna guess that you're also a little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll as well. :)
