I do not know, MagnetoBlue---I'm new--but, I have to tell you-- that is one bad-to-the-bone nomenclature (name) you have there! I think it's great!

The active Moderator could help you out oi you message @Tideland Prius ..
.. or you could just start anew and forget the old name.

Thank you for these tips! I am definitely having a small learning curve on driving my new prius (2018 two eco) and these are helpful!

    You just did.
    You mean a new thread?
Are you using a web browser?

If you're using a browser and you want to start a new thread, you just go to the forum where you want that thread to appear and click the big blue button that says, "Post New Thread."

If you're using a mobile app, I have no idea. It's way too cumbersome to try to engage with a forum on a mobile device.

Just read the OP and it seriously makes me to want to take my 2019 Prius back to the dealer, this is WAY more maintenance that I have ever seen on a car

You realize that post was written over to years ago for a car 2 generations older than yours?
Much has changed & improved in that time.

I did not think the 2019 Prius had shipped yet.

I went back and looked at the OP. The only maintenance there was checking the oil. Of course you need to change it, too. But that's common to all cars except BEVs. As for scheduled maintenance, it's just fluid related. Oh, and you'll probably need new brake pads every 10-15 years.

I have never owned a car as reliable and low maintenance as my Prius! By far!

Hi everyone! First post (and for the record, I haven't bought my Prius yet, but was asked to put what car I had when signing up to the forum) and curious if this (VERY helpful) post is updated for current models? I see it was originally created in 2009, if I'm not mistaken? Thank you all very much, and I look forward to reading up and catching up on the great amounts of information.

    Welcome!

Just to make things more confusing, Toyota changed the model names for 2019.

For 2018 - 2018 there were One, Two, Two Eco, Three, Three Touring, Four, Four Touring.

For 2019 there is L Eco, LE, , LE-AWD-e, XLE, XLE,-AWD-e and Limited.

The 2 AWD-e models have 4 wheel drive.

    Yeah, the 1, 2, 3, 4 stuff was way too unconfusing. :(

Like the change from roman numerals to arabic numbers that happened to have a liftback trim "V" that conflicted with the totally different Prius v wagon?
