Don't have pics of the finished product yet, my fiancee took the Prius to work today. Haha.

I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Unfortunately, the blue on the front emblem didn't create a super clean split, so I might redo that.

Jumped on the bandwagon. Took off the stupid "sport" badge and dipped the rear emblems. Standby for side and front emblems. I have 10 cans of black dip. What to do next...?

Any tips on removing the spray from the inside of them emblem? When I try to peel it, it always pulls off from the chrome area. How many layers are you guys doing? Thanks. Haven't had any issues with the other badges.

With plastidip, the thicker you put it on, the easier it is to peel back.
The blue behind the emblem doesn't have a huge gap, so it doesn't create a nice seam automatically.

I found that carefully pulling it away yielded pretty good results. Not perfect, but you can't really see any rough edges unless you get right up in it. If you had a small razor or an xacto knife, you could score around the emblem before peeling.

4-5 coats should do it. Use a toothpick to peel the inside of the emblem.

I just und did the two screws that held the toyota emblem on and pulled it apart. Plastidip 3 or 4 coats and put back together without using any blades or exacto knives. Looks perfect like it came from the factory that way.

Plasti dipped my OEM rims today in the "gunmetal" grey. Wasn't too crazy about how they turned out, as they didn't "gunmetal", and looked really primered instead. The handful of people who saw my car today thought they looked cool, they couldn't believe that I did it myself, and that the entire process is completely reversible. I'm gonna hit it with more glossifier, as I actually went back for another coat of glossifier and accidentally did another coat of plasti dip and had to start on that side all over. Used two whole cans of grey PD and one can of glossifier for three whole coats...

I removed it already. Gonna try two coats of black with two coats of silver metalizer over it. I will post pics, of my progress.

That stuff is scary, mask, na, oxygen tanks, scuba type breather apparatus, when in spray form.
But... I ride a snowboard in hard boots during cold weather and touching the snow at speed is friction plus, I wear gloves made of Kevlar and they shred, buying this stuff in liquid form and soaking the fingers gives the fingers life after death, jmho, ymmv

I plastidipped my plug in rims. I really like them now the tinted windows really pull the whole car together.

I cant understand why my pictures get upside down I even tried rotating it.
