Relatively new owner of a 2008 Prius here. I bought it not because I drive a lot, but I wanted a car I could buy in cash with a backup camera and lots of other features that the Prius had, plus its reliability. Given that I got to pay out-of-pocket for a new combo meter before the car was even registered, I was wrong about the cheap maintenance part, but I should only have to do that once. At least we have good Hybrid mechanics here in Priusland and I enjoy driving my car. My parents and sisters also all own Prii, so I'm part of a nice family.

I am trying to write replies to my first post, and I am told I can't because I have "sneaky URLs" in my post text.

Why yes! I DO have URLs... they are links to other threads on Prius Chat! How do I fix that?

Maybe do a bunch of superflous posts within this thread, say do ten, then try posting a link. If no go, post another ten posts, try again.

    Rankles though.

Certainly worth a shot. I found some stuff about needing to post for links in a signature (not my thing anyway), which is sort of why I started my thread.

You would think the anti-bot software would know if you are linking to elsewhere on PriusChat, you aren't trying to sell something.
