I tried searching, and I don't know if it's just me, but it appears the (now) recommended Denso SC16HR11 is discontinued? Everyone that I would trust (ie. NOT Ebay) says either discontinued or out-of-stock. That includes big guys like Rock, SparkPlugs, Summit, etc. Even when trying to link through the "Buy Online" of Denso's website, just about everybody showing in the links say "not available." Even the ones that you CAN link up to (SparkPlugs), show not available when you actually go to the site.

Is it REALLY discontinued, or is it a matter of supply shortage?

Have you tried any local automotive specialty stores? Preferably someone you've used before, they know their stuff.

I have not physically checked, but the AutoZone link on Denso's site says "not available." Going directly to AutoZone's website and entering 'sc16hr11' initially shows 'spark plugs' as one of two options. Clicking on that link bring up 'no results in this parts category.
Advance Auto (the last place I bought the sc20s) no longer shows either as available. Rock shows 'out of stock' and you can enter your email to be notified when it's back in stock. Sparkplugs says 'this item has been discontinued.' Summit shows 'not available.'

The closest I can find is a some sites bringing up sK16hr11 when searching, but I can't find any info if it's some kind of supersession of the sC16hr11.

What year is your car, and isn't it the SC20HR11 (aka 3444) that's specified?

That plug is showing as available from O'Reilly and Amazon, along with online Toyota dealers. McGeorge Toyota is often a good source, and for the plug, they are showing at $8.94 each--throw in some filters to make the shipping worth it.

That's what Owner's Manual shows, but apparently Toyota later decided a slightly hotter plug was warranted, it was developed, and assigned Denso part number SC16HR11,

SK won't fit yer car... without looking it up, I believe that's the Gen2 spark plug.

Everyone except Toyota seems to be out of Densos that fit Gen3.

If I needed plugs right now I would order from McGeorge

Assuming they're the correct Denso, I wish they'd show the denso number as well.

Maybe googling the toyota part number you can find an image with the denso part info.

"Assuming they're the correct Denso, I wish they'd show the denso number as well."

A bit of further searching indicates that those are probably the 20's rather than the 16's, assuming they're legit.

I finally get to return a favor!

Here is the entry point to the Denso cross reference, also note tabs that take you to general spark plug info. This is a terrific, one stop shop for all things related to spark plugs. Denso cross references Toyota (and other auto manufacturer) part numbers.

Some notes I made from the above:

    ====
    spark plug: denso SC20HR11 (toyota p/n: 90919-01253)<superceded
(requires 14 mm or 9/16" socket)
Note: the denso Denso SC20HR11 has been supersceded with Denso SC16HR11 now, slightly hotter
Toyota part no for SC16HR11: 90919-01275
Denso part no for SC16HR11: 267700-8300
    Thread: 12 dia x 26.5
Denso torque recommendation for above thread dia:
    15-20N·m (11-15 ft/lb)| About 1/3 turn (new)| About 1/12 turn (used)
Denso cautions to not use lube on threads
    1/3 turn: 120 degrees (90+30)
    1/12 turn: 30 degrees

Now that we cleared that up, what about the gap on these "do not adjust the gap" plugs?

They should be preset to that, sort of trust but verify. If they're off, I'd consider returning them?

Just bought spark plugs: denso SC16HR11 (toyota p/n: 90919-01275) at a dealer. List $13.20 each, out the door for $11.88 each.
