Well, you are at the dealer after all.

Here is the work up for the DTCs that you've posted :

    https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/Prius%20Service%20Manuals%202004/%E4%BF%AE%E7%90%86%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8C/04pruisr/05/21avn/cic12414.pdf

    https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/Prius%20Service%20Manuals%202004/%E4%BF%AE%E7%90%86%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8C/04pruisr/05/21avn/cic12565.pdf

You'll notice that the work up for DTC C1241 shows four (4) possible INF's (sub codes), and that DTC C1256 shows two (2) possible INF's (sub codes), having access to the sub codes (INFs) can help with narrowing down the issue. Look on the dealer supplied work order / repair estimate for any additional three (3) digit numbers near or after the primary DTCs.

Btw cleared the p code triangle went off but car still won’t start. Only way to start is to unplug battery and reset.

We have many dreaded p codes around here, which one were you referring to exactly?

(when in techstream click the little cloud/flower icon to display any INF sub codes)

I agree however the battery charges perfectly and holds its charge. I get great gas mill ave also. But why would the vacation light come on with it

Also when I plug-in text stream and I clear all the codes and then disconnect from text stream and try to restart the car it won’t restart

It’s unhappy most likely all the interconnect in the hybrid battery box is corroded all to hell. With that code it has to come out and take the cover off and you’ll see what’s what.
Before you tear into it take a lot of photos.

What’s a vacation light? You mean the RTOD. Red triangle of death?

Sorry scroll through and you will see I believe I took a photo of it. The red triangle is on the VSC light is on and the yellow explanation point (I) is on all comes on at the same time then it won’t start after shutting off. No loss of breaking or troubles accelerating. Litterly if you taped over the lights you would not know if there was a problem. Unless you shut the car off it won’t start or go into ready until you reset it via pulling battery cable.

Normal ''AGE'' problems are starting to happen===
You have a 14 year old 2004 Toyota Prius with the dreaded ''P'' code,
your Prius is also 'using oil' =[ it was 2 qts low]
and the Prius has 280,000 miles...

Oh yeah I've been terrified by that red triangle due to the door not being closed too. :( The Red Triangle is the worst, so scary.
