What is the Point of the C Model??

Well, you can remove the headrests or put the rear seats down. For us, it would almost always be a 1 or 2 person car, so we can do what we can and any passenger would be tall enough that they'd be bigger than the headrests, anyway.

I haven't test-driven the Prius c (yet) but reports are of improved rear visibility (although the headrests are noted as an issue), but it helps resolve at least 2 of 3 key problems of the liftback:
- The portion below the spoiler easily gets caked in crap. That may be part of the reason why my wife finds that the rear view is poorly lit in the dark.
- There's a big spoiler. I find it's OK. But my wife finds it a hindrance when reversing and a vertically challenged friend who has driven our Prius has the spoiler in her eyeline.
- The rear is relatively high so you can't easily see cars behind if they're close at all. This may depend on driver torso height: my wife is long legs and short torso, so views from a lower angle.

My hope is that with the conventional shape my wife would find the Prius c much better and would go for it as a replacement for her commuter when the time comes (which may be this year).
