What is this? Intake Manifold Hole Vent ID Question

    Gen 3 - 2015 Prius III. I'm attaching two pics. The first includes the dipstick so you can see the location of the second pic. In the second pic there is a small triangular-shaped hole below the bolt, in what I believe is the intake manifold. What is that? Is it a vent or damage?

    Apparently, it's normal. There's actually two of them, one on each side of the intake manifold.

    My pictures are from the inside out but here's both sides.

    I happened to have my old intake manifold in my garage that I haven't gotten around to cleaning after replacing it with a newer version part.

    It's there to relieve any liquid or vapor that might be trapped there.
