    well we have already had polls on whether we;

    coast or glide

    CC or feather

replusive or dumbos (republican or democrat)

    how old?

    how many miles? etc

at the risk of sounding like James Lipton

    What is your favorite word?

    What sound do you love?

ok its not working... i have visions of over the hill actors reminescing about the past

That's just rude! I led the way on this purchase - my husband would rather have a Corvette and he can have one and drive it every day of the week and I don't care. I love my Prius and everything about it. He does recognize that the Prius makes much more sense and we end up driving it everywhere on weekends doing errands and such.

I'm Female, own a Prius and Proud!! :D

    Yikes! Think again!

I did the research and bought this little puppy all on my very own. When I <dragged> my b/friend to the dealership to test drive one he, who had pooh-poohed the idea of a hybrid, became smitten with the car on the spot. In fact, if they'd had a hybrid truck he would have traded his in on the spot.

i have to agree with the ladies here. a lot of guys i talked to had too much testosterone to burn off to be satisfied with a Prius.

i also had a few ladies at work who did a huge about face one time when we all rode in my Prius to get pizza for lunch one day. they were convinced after a ride in the back seat. it didnt hurt that i had $150 of food and supplies from Costco in the back either...tossed in a few stats on the Prius' accolades for child restaint safety and they didnt have a chance...

it was a slaughter...looked like a mini-van graveyard after that...

Try this on a lovely fall Sunday afternoon:

If females made most vehicle-buying decisions

    1) GM would have slashed all its car-making divisions, would be making only trucks and truck-platform SUVs---and would still be sinking like a stone

    2) half of Ford's lineup would be hybrids, with Ford the #1 U.S.-based automaker

    3) Daimler would be selling only the novelty PT Cruiser and a downsized novelty 300C

    4) Toyota and Honda would be the #1-2 carmakers in the U.S.

    5) Prius would be the #1 nameplate in NA, and would offer a hybrid van, convertible, Tacoma pickup and a rebadged Scion xA plug-in getting 77/70

    6) all SUV, truck and muscle car guzzlers (less than 25 MPG) would pay 50% more at the pump

    Speculation:

Women have more important things to do than waste time at the computer.

Women read the owner's manual and therefore do not need to come here for advice.

    Daniel,
Thanks for sticking up for us females!

Some of us "Females" are the ones that CAN program the VCR, love computers and LOVE our car.

Note at the recent detail days at Meguiar's, there were quite a few women (and detailing is usually not what most get into):

Dating section might be a bit of a challenge seeing as how we have a fair diversity of ages, marital and sexual status. Figure we should stick to figuring out what we don't know about our cars, having wild political and moral debates and fun word games!

Naturally that is the female approach!!

    no fun. lol.

there used to be icons to show male or female. I think age was listed at one time. It helped me find some good friends around my age. Even a date a while back :)

What do single women do? Walk? Buy what their fathers or brothers tell them?

    I do my research.

When I bought the Prius my parents were silent but my Dad did make a joke about being careful not to get electrocuted because it was raining. My brother made comments about the "golf cart".

My Dad wouldn't ride in it until he *had* to. I took him up to the Tut exhibit in L.A. He was surprised at the smooth, quite ride and that it could go so fast/keep up with traffic. At one point I was doing 85 mpg, he was surprised as it didn't seem we were going that fast.

And when my brother was in town the first thing he wanted was a 'tour' of my Prius. He was really interested and asked all the right questions (so I could dispel all of the myths.

After I gave my Dad a run through of the car, now *he* shows the car off to visitors and neighbors, giving them the whole spiel.

Resistence is breaking down. I won't be surprised if some time in the future another family member owns a Prius. Who knows...it may be my old one when I buy a 2009.

You want fun, set up a "secret" poll, something amongst the lines of, "Would you date (insert PC member here), and let it rip!

BTW, I don't see an option for Asexuals, Eunuchs, or Transvestites... That's HIGHLY discriminatory and narrow minded. They're people too you know.

Can't you now marry your dog in MA? :p Someone will challenge that prohibition in court sooner or later, if they haven't already.

We do have mechanisms, one of which we didn't have when you were here before. We have a "Shoutbox", where you can invite someone to go and chat.

    Then there's PM.

Or you can always go the "Prius (local) club" route. B)
