This was before we became empty nesters. They were on $2500-3000 each used. Plus inexpensive to insure.

I was like that with LS400s. All bought through eBay. Range was 2k -3.5k.

1st one was a 93 I bought on ebay for 2k. in July 2006. Was a bit rusty but well maintained and everything worked. pearl white.

2nd was a 94 for my sister in Sept. 2006 Was also 2k. Had a few oil leaks but well maintained and ran like a champ. Super Dark Green. Basically, black except in direct sunlight. Very interesting and dignified color IMO.

3rd was a 94 "anniversary edition" for my mom in May of 2007. Which was a silvery pearl white. My favorite color.

4th was my 95 LS400 was for me. Nov 2009. Pearl white. That car took my sister in law from GA to UCLA and survived. She moved to NYC a few weeks ago and sold it to her LA roomate.

5th was the 2000 LS400 for my then girlfriend, now wife in June 2010. Color was "Burnished Golden Metallic" Basically a darker more lustrous gold color.

    All gone now.

Oh all this talk makes me want another one!

My second car was a Geo Prism. It was basically a Corolla built by GM.

I've owned 50 cars so the list would be really long but I traded in a 16 Leaf that was leased. The range just couldn't work for me in rural Oregon. Which was a shame because the Leaf is a really great car.

My 2019 Prius Prime Plus will be replacing my 1995 Lexus ES 300! I get an average of 21 MPG city / 25 MPG hwy with my Lexus. I am looking forward to this upgrade. :)

I traded in a 2009 Mazda Miata with the 6-speed and power hardtop for the Prius. Loved the car except when getting caught in stop and go rush hour traffic in the Seattle area. The Prime is my first hybrid. We also have a 2002 4Runner and a 2000 Lexus ES300.
Talking about owning a few of the same model cars; I once had 6 1963 Thunderbirds. Gradually thinned them out as the wife's perception was "One or two is a hobby; six of them is a sickness."

My '17 Prime replaced a 2005 Honda Accord, bought new then given away with just over 300k on the odometer.

2010 VW Tiguan. Literally was on fumes when i got my Prius Prime last spring. Love filling up only once per month and less than 30 bucks per!

I drove my 05 Acura TSX for 14 years before getting my '19 prime.

I really liked the car and it ran great but after 200,000+ miles it was starting to run into some larger issues that I just didn't feel like dealing with. I probably could have squeezed another 100k out of it if I sunk some money and wrench time into it. Plus with living in the north east, rust was turning into an issue on it. The other thing that sucked with it is it got 25mpg with mixed driving and it only took premium gas.

I really want to squeeze 300k our of the Prius. I drive my cars into the ground!
