The Lotus Elise gets 23/27 mpg, which isn't bad for a car that's pretty much a rocket on wheels...

But the ride is harsh, which does get old after a while.

I've seen just about every car on the road... er.. almost.

I've seen the larger majority of farraris. Including the Enzo. Fararis are common at the larger businesses in the Palo Alto/Standford area.

I've seen the Porsche Carrara GT on the road. (stoplight near my house)

I've seen the Ford GT and the Ford GT 40 on the road. I recommend not driving behind the GT 40. It's very dirty and noisy. Not the pretty Ford GT or Farari engine noise at all.

I've seen a fair collection of Masaratis on the road.

Lotus Elise is somewhat common to see. Just yesterday there was a red one at my local gas station. Sexy little car.

I've seen the BMW 760i. Only once too. It's a rare find.

I've seen all the Mercedes. The SL55, SL600 coupe and roadster, and the CL 55. All at my nephews private school actually. I talked to one chick. Her husband just baught it for her. (SL600 Coupe)

I think that's about it. Oh... Lambos. I've seen every Lambo on the road. If not somewhere around Palo alto, then the few i've seen in San Francisco.

Oh yeah.. for the lotus list. I've seen a few lotus besides the Elise. I don't know what models they were though. *shrug*

I parked next to a Maybach at an Asian Expo at the L.A. County Fairgrounds in Pomona. I drove behind a Porsche Carrera GT on the west side of L.A., going north on Bundy. I saw a McClaren Mercedes SLR in Laguna a while back.

So far I've seen two Porsche Carrera GT, a Lamborghini Murcielago, several Lamoborghini Gallardos, a Bently Azure, several Bentley Continental GTs, two Mercedes McLaren SLRs, several Ferrari F360/F430s, and a Ferrari Enzo.

Lots of fine cars around here!

... the first wrecked Enzo was here in Tampa. Check out www.wreckedexotics.com for info and pics.

    Several of them.

    1. GM EV1. ~1800 of them made for a cost of $1 million per copy if you believe GM. Drove it for two years. No more on the road today.

    2. Rav4EV. ~400 of them on the road, made for a cost of $80k if Toyota is to be believed. Purchased for about $30k, worth about $55k three years and 35k miles later

    3. Toyota Highlander FCH. Only a few made for about $1.5 million a copy. Shown here next to my Rav4EV.

    4. Ford Ranger EV. Fewer than 150 on the road today.

These are what I've driven on public roads. But the REAL slick part is that our daily driver is the Rav4EV. An irreplaceable vehicle, and one of only about 400 on the road. Anybody else commute regularly in a car like that? :)
