I looked in my nav and I do not have my HOME entered. Oh wait, I do have my home address set in my destinations. I'll delete it and see what happens. I'm going for a "spin" right now! That's what my Dad used to call it.

It's good to name the home address as something anonymous, in case the car is stolen.

If someone steals one of our vehicles, pressing "Go Home" will guide him to the front door of a nearby police station.

Only if you leave your house keys in the car, which I don't.;)

    Mystery solved.

The OP has assigned the "Music Box" sound to an address book entry - possibly the entry for her home. Normally only an icon is associated with an address book entry but there is a "With Sound" option that will play a choice of sounds when approaching the location of an address book entry.

My wife's 2012 Prius v Five/ATP has the same feature. I took my wife's Prius to the car wash this afternoon and looked around in its in-dash system. There was already an address book entry for the nearby Toyota dealership where we bought her Prius. When I "Edited" the icon for the dealership's address book entry I saw three tabs - two tabs for icons and one tab for sounds. The attached image shows the "Music Box" sound I selected for the dealership.

I took a slight detour on the way back home and, sure enough, when I was about three blocks from the Toyota dealership, the Music Box song played.

Now all you guys go out to your Prius and see if it has a similar feature!

    HALLELUJAH!

You guys are right!!! I had set my home address to one of my preset destinations! Then used the HOME icon that is provided.
When I deleted that preset destination, drove away from home, then back.....total silence!

Well now what am I going to bitch about..?

    THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Much love to this forum family.

That's the built-in nav's marker with sound :). That's the "music box" option (there's "chime" and "bell" and "bell with direction").

Look on your navigation screen for a marker (chime is red, bell is purple... i don't use music box so i can't remember the colour.. maybe it's green?). It will chime whenever that marker is within view of the map (so it doesn't necessarily have to be on the road you're currently travelling on).

The other option is to scroll through your navigation address book (or favourites) and find that marker.

Hey, push button one on our HomeLink mirror, and you're in like Flint. (Substitute garage door opener clipped on the sunshade, as needed.)

Now button two, that was for the garage of a townhouse across town. We should drive over there some time, see if they've changed the code...

We had it sorted early, just needed additional reinforcement to clear it(y).

The annoying thing is that newer townhouses and condos aren't compatible with Homelink... we can thank those people who were renting out their spaces to random people (by giving them their fob/programming it to their Homelink in their car/reprogram a new fob). So they made fobs that can't be programmed into Homelink.

With both garage doors we've got programmed, it never would have happened if my son hadn't helped.

Yeah, but you are still getting the Prius+ and with a huge number of features we never got in the U.S. on the Prius v: 3rd row seats, privacy glass, side window shades, rain sensing wipers, LED DRL, power folding mirrors with turn signals, available roof racks with cargo boxes, bicycle and ski carriers and on and on.

More importantly, you guys get to drive on the correct side of the road!

Stop it, you'll have me going out and buying a Prius+ again. I had one prior to the Gen 4 and loved it, never used the third row of seats but the privacy glass and shades were great for keeping the sun off the dogs. Mine was a 2012 so it didn't have the DRLs or power mirrors, but it did have the panoramic roof with automatic sun shades, which I believe they dropped on the face lift model.
Most of us drive on the correct side of the road, although quite a few idiots don't (European lorry drivers are the worst).
