I started posting this thread and saw this link proposed.
    http://priuschat.com/forums/file-library/156-list-voice-commands.html
However the link in the first post wasn't working. So now I am reposting the question. Is there a list somewhere? I need a copy to keep in the car so I can learn some of the more popular/functional ones.

    Thanks in advance.

I went to the end of that thread and found a link to a .pdf version of the file, which works.

    The link is http://priuschat.com/forums/attachm...-voice-commands-prius_navigation_commands.pdf

Also, the set of commands is stored in the navigation system itself. If you say "Command List", it will display the command list on the screen.

    Have fun with it.

Thats a good link IraS, thanks. Another place is in the Navigation System Quick Guide book that came with with your car. The complete command list is in the back.

This is the first vehicle where I actually looked at the manuals (I didn't on my 05 and totally missed that drawer under the console for 4 months!). Additionally you don't have to listen to all the prompts just hit the voice button a second time to bypass the verbal prompting once you see or otherwise recall your command.

    I turned the prompting off.

So that's where it is. I was looking in the manual today and could not find it. The reference guide is currently in the glove box.

How do you turn off the part that that tells you what to say before you say it? I turned off "Voice Recognition Guidance" but it still wants to coach me. I still want route guidance I just want to get rid of the long winded directions on how to give commands.

When did you get your car LoraJ? How do you like it? If you posted that somewhere I missed it.

Thanks guys - I needed a list(PDF) to store on my laptop and a list to print. I thought it would be in the manual but I can't remember that many commands and I don't want to keep the manual out and open.

The PDF file seems to contain more commands than the quick reference and some commands differ in syntax between the two documents.

That should do it... not sure why it'll still give guidance. I just keep pressing the button and say a command after the beep. No need to listen if you already know what commands you want.

go to john1701a.com and find the User Guide. He has a list of commands there.

That pdf is dated 2004 (check properties), so it's for the Gen II Prius, and doesn't match the list at the back of the nav quick guide I received with my car.

oh... ok. I figured most of them should still work lol.

Quick guide eh? I'll have to see if I got one. I just got the regular nav manual.

Recheck your settings. I just looked at mine and "Voice Recognition Guidance" is turned off, which stopped it from prompting me every time I hit the voice button.

When using the audio commands, do I need to sp[eak through all of the preceeding prompts before I say what I'm interested in? For example, can I just say "Gas Stations" or do I need to say "Destination, Near Here, Point of Interest, Gas Station"?

Good question. I haven't figured out what works and what doesn't.

Someone commented that the PDF listed was from 2004 or at least an earlier model. I tried some of the A/C temp changes and after changing the SAT channels/bands numerous times, I came to the conclusion that this doesn't work, I don't speak clearly enough or I am not using the command correctly. Any of the above could be true.

Is there an updated list. I looked in my manual this afternoon and I couldn't find mention of so called list that was also mentioned in a previous post. Any ideas to help us out?

Depends I guess. I just said "satellite one" without having to go to "Audio" then saying "satellite one".

The A/C ones may not work because they're no longer part of the MFD. The radio ones should still work. I used one today (see above)
