Hello. I am considering installing a module to give my 2017 Prius (Model 4/non JBL audio) Android Auto. From what I can see options that give me an actual new/higher resolution screen are pretty confusing and I may lose some native features without lots of additional parts. The AutoABC product (or items/brands that look just like it) seems to have a bunch of different versions (looking at what's available through Amazon, Ebay, etc.). Can anyone tell me which specific models/brands to avoid or look for?
I don't believe the 2017 Prius was carplay compatible. Android auto was only available on base model 2020 and above. the cheapest and easiest solution would be something like this. This sleek 10-inch Android Auto screen is exactly what your car needs in 2026
Yes. It is true that the the 2017 Prius is not NATIVELY Carplay/Android Auto capable. My question is about one type of after-market device that can be installed, specifically the AUTOABC Wireless Carplay/Android Auto Adapter for Toyota (but when I search. it appears that there are several very similar-looking devices) I was hoping Forum members might have some experience/insight with such devices.
A device/module that I have seen offered on various sites is this one (but there seem to be other very similar looking modules available and I'd like to find the best one currently available).
