There has been several "recalls" of the earth already Bra... and personally, I don't think having the smartest critters on Terra wiped out in an extinction event is a good thing... nor do I think the creator ever cares... the creation of everything we can see doesn't make me too tired of it to want it to end...

I kinda like it here... even today when I go and get another water heater... life's good...

Dude, no! Really, it's like the solar system is like this giant atom that's, like, part of the fingernail of God, dude!

This is called "The Big Bong theory".

I think there would be less fighting with the big bong theory.

Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads?

I just voted "You're all going to Hell" because I couldn't vote for "irritating the religious right" AND "irritating the liberal left".
I figure my vote irritates them both by insinuating that the religious right isn't going to spend eternity in Heaven (your religion isn't, it turns out, the "true" religion) and insinuating that the liberal left is incorrect in questioning the existence of Heaven and Hell.

I think my job here is complete. :yo:

One trouble with "Pancakes" is the threads are included in the "unread posts" threads, so you have to see some of the idiotic agenda-ridden Pancake threads even though you are not subscribed to Pancakes.

I wish the Administrators would exclude Pancake threads from the "unread posts" --at least for those of us who aren't subscribed to Pancakes.

I wonder if many of those Pancake posters are really Prius owners, but just using the chat group for their agenda.

I have seen a number of car chat groups spoiled by political and religious stuff. Some people even put their political or religious agendas in their signatures--which should be a no-no.

Well, that leaves one group you are not irritating: the religious "liberal left." Not everybody religious is right, you know. LOL.

Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads?

In the near future I hope to go light on this topic. Since joining in 2006 I typically had been quiet, but you're correct - a number of members are here solely to flamebait on the most incendiary political and religious topics - Dr Bermann comes to mind. Less of those flamethrows are out in public if at all.

I joined to learn more about the Prius....it or an EV is my likely next car to replace my 2000 Honda Insight - a different hybrid animal, although other drivers treat it just like a Prius. I did not come to hear many of my beliefs disrespected (to differ is OK - there IS a difference)

My main issue with many of the Pancake topics is some of the participants lack the capacity to be more civil and agree to disagree....they seem to have an inflated view of how popular their viewpoint is. Fact is, most people out there probably disagree with our opinion. It's really hard to make a forum active...the on topic points will be hotly contested. When members come solely to pick a fight on religion and politics, it's a disservice - it's effortless to find disagreement on those topics and fight.

I assumed he was joking. This is because I still assume the good doctor never held anything medically related in his hand more complex than baby aspirin.

Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads?

Sorry Priussport but I still don't see what the big deal is? You see a thread title with a religious theme and you can skip right by it. I somehow manage to skip by all of the Gen III posts. Maybe I should complain about seeing unread Gen III posts since I have a Gen II
