    I don't fully agree with you, F8L, but yer a good sport. Civility is definitely in short supply today.

    Thank you Vinnie. I figure just because two people disagree with each other doesn't mean they have to hate each other. Like catgic stated earlier, we probably have more in common between us than you might think. I firmly believe this to be true. :)

    I think most people in this forum (and on this planet, for that matter!) have more in common than we acknowledge sometimes.
    All of us here are (allegedly) Prius drivers...or at least interested enough in Priuses to hang in this forum.:D

    As more Priuses populate the highways and byways of the world, I think there's going to be less "Prius (driver) Hate" out there---not that I've experienced any myself so far...and if nothing else, rising gas prices are going to give more and more people pause to consider Hybrid ownership.
    EVs will probably have a future too---albeit one tempered by the fact that countries like the US, Canada, and Australia are pretty wide-open places---and "range anxiety" is going to continue to keep a lot of people from considering these as viable replacements for ICE powered vehicles.

    I have folks now making snarky and passive/aggressive remarks about Prius, knowing I just bought one. A friend just posted this on her facebook (knowing I got my Prius two weeks ago):

    "Driving a rental Prius.....kind of like one of those cars at Disneyland's Autopia, push accelerator to floor and WAIT, WAIT, WAIT for movement."

    She never congratulated me on the new car, btw. She drives a 2010 Lexus IS250

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    And the nice thing about the TDI forum is that politics are not allowed. Actually, I only found this thread because someone on there pointed it out.

    Haha, figures. Certainly not a sports car, but it has some torque. I've always found decent acceleration on it, much better than a Crayola or something crappy like a Hyundai Elantra. Despite selling mine yesterday, overall, I don't think it's a bad car.

    Nope, you didn't break my scale. Socialist, communist, same s**t for the most part. I put all in the liberal category, so you didn't exceed my scale.

    How tempted am I to respond back, "You can't drive it with the emergency brake on! Duh!"

    I mean seriously...it's not a sports car, but it does have some pep to it.

    I never had anyone "hate" my Prius...I did Get made fun of, but pointed out that I would rather not give my money to the enemy. On the other hand, I have had issues with other drivers driving aggressively around the Prius...also, I would like to see better handling and less aggressive vsc.

    FYI, I no longer own the Prius

    Even more interesting is you continuing to post in here despite not owning a Prius.
