Why does my Prius smell drunk?

    There was something on the CBC radio this morning, the business news report, about some buses will soon be powered by diesel derived from coffee bean oil.

    Easy to google, this was the first hit for me:

    I can deal with smoky wine
    My ecodiesel burns Uric acid and has a particular odor
    My kubota runs red line oils and the hydrostatic drive burns a bit when overheated, it smells sweet

    A relative served us some Mogen David at a dinner when I was about 11. I tried a sip. It was awful and I never forgot it.

    Biodiesel can be made from any fat; plant or animal. When the fat isn't going into a food product, less expensive options for extracting it become available.
