Why does the Gen3 hybrid battery fail more than in the Gen2?

    My theory is that Panasonic made the gen 2 batteries better than the gen 3s.

    The Gen 3 batteries (actually the post 2006 Gen 2 batteries) are actually improved versions. The Gen 3 reliability issues are due to Toyota deciding to push the batteries harder (130 peak amps vs 100 in the Gen 2)

    Like an improved version of my old wife, or like an improved version of the Tesla for the masses (lighter and cheaper)!
