Why is the NAV screen of such crappy quality?

    i found out that the MY2010 nav. display's contrast is not as dependent on the viewing angle as the MY2006's display was.
    the resoluton may be poorer in the new model, but i appreciate it when there is no difference in brightness between the pictures i see with my left and my right eye as there was in the predecessor. that made me dizzy, gen3 doesn't.

    I'm not comparing with what the Prius doesn't have with what the Lexus does have. Both of them have a dedicated NAV screen (with no MFD functions). Obviously I'm biased because I'm coming from the Lexus, but Gen III owners who came from Gen II have a more legitimate complaint as they did downgrade the quality of the screen.
