not really. overall the leaf is a better car. it's just incompatible with extreme climates.

Tesla being American and having limited approved repair shops makes them the worst of the bunch for deprecation. I almost bought a used S. they are very affordable

 

'affordable' is in the wallet of the beholder. i still find them too high compared to others, but 'affordable' relative to their msrp.

No, the $35K is the single battery/motor version, which they are just about to start production on
I have a friend who got one recently, with 2 colors and 3 materials in the interior
The quality control at tesla makes 1970s Fords look tremendous

we have some members here with tesla's, who say the quality is outstanding.

 

There isn’t anything other than a single battery [pack] option. Both my wife and I have single motor versions.
The big difference is the short range battery, which has not gone into production yet.

As for quality control, it started rough, but got a lot better, a lot quicker than any other brand I have experienced. We have had a couple of minor issues between the two cars. Fit and finish? I have had no complaints, both are beautiful.

 

That generalization does NOT apply to the model 3.

So many shortcut issues...I pray they succeed, I think it's a great product, but his "how hard can it be" attitude/ego will be their downfall

you're reading too many biased articles, and not owners forums. there have been some problems, mostly early production. but by and large, as good as most auto mfg's.

 

Certainly not a good manufacturer...typical new to the US market Crap
I work for a tier 1 auto supplier. My current and former employer are the best in their respective fields, and are both suppliers of vital Tesla components. I can assure you Tesla's shortcomings are 100% ignorance/QC relates
They use quality parts, just not quality labor and processes
