Will charging stops if outside temp is around 90F?

Your car won't stop charging at those temps, but it might be that the appliance you hooked up to did it. That has happened to others - more commonly among cars that use DC QC's.

I charge at work which is unprotected and was over 100 several days this year. I had a full charge waiting for me.

Might be something with the setup you are using.

Nope, direct sunlight and on the southern side of the building.

I also charge at 8 amps.

Maybe that’s something to try.

fun fact, tesla will let you dial down charging all the way to 5 amps. It could take you the better part of 4 days to fill up.

But to segue back to the question, no, the car has to be able to set the 240V limit, & only Tesla, iirc, provides that charging adjustability feature on 240V. Otherwise, the evse will deliver the maximum that the car allows . If charging 120 V yes some will allow 8 vs 12 amps.

I'll have to test that. My manual tells how to limit charging current to 8A and it doesn't say anything about it not working on 240V.
