I like the aftermarket prices, and if it doesn't fit well, back it goes. I didn't see the eBay one. I'm not actively looking yet, I'm way too busy to start another project.

Just wanted to give an update:

Adam (madman) & I are gonna get together on the 8th to test fit the 2012 bumper cover on that he bought on his 2010. I also bought a cheap pair of yaris fogs to see if by chance they fit the 2012 bumper. I will try to take pics showing any differences that we find.

It's confirmed. The 2012 Prius bumper WILL fit the 10-11 Prius. The following are what Adam (madman) & I noticed:

    1) the foam piece between the reinforcement bar & the bumper cover will need to be replaced or trimmed down to fit
    2) the 10-11 grill will not fit the 2012 bumper
    3) the wiring harness can be transfered but u will need to make a harness for the DRLs

Here are some pics that I took:

Sean, thanks for your help. Props to you for knowing so much about modding. If it were up to me alone, I'd probably be driving with no bumper right now. Lol. I need to find out the cost for the parts needed. Aside from the bumper itself, there are 6 additional pcs needed. Keep in mind as well to factor in the cost of the 2012 blinkers, drls, and fogs. Once I get the part numbers and prices, I'll post it up for y'all.

Anytime Adam. That's what the community is about.....helping each other. You also helped me confirm that the 10-11 fogs fit the 2012 bumper.

I'm headed to the dealer to pick up my part I ordered. I'll see if they have time to get me the part quotes

Here are the parts & cost:

    52611-47090 - absorber - $68.12
    53102-47020 - grill sub-assy - $150.74
    53111-47040 - grill, radiator - $146.70
    81511-47060 - DRL assy - $214.36
    81521-47060 - DRL assy - $214.36
    81519-47050 - DRL bracket - $20.48
    81529-47040 - DRL bracket - $19.29

    Total: $834.05

The lower grill part number is for the fog openings.

Once again, you are the man, Sean!
Holy crap, this whole retrofit idea is adding up. I'm sure the cost will greatly decrease once these parts are more available from the secondary markets. Also, I forgot to mention to everyone that the bumper I got did not come with the tow caps so those are additional items that will be added to the cost.
I'm still contemplating on doing this, but it seems rather costly.
I got the DRL passenger assembly for $85. Now hoping to find the driver side one for cheap.
If I give up, you guys will shortly see a 2012 bumper and the passenger DRL on the private sales forum and ebay.

You can probably trim the existing lower covers and salvage them. They're not absolutely necessary.

Exactly what I was thinking, 32kcolors. I recall the holes for the bolt were aligned good, but I can't confirm. I know for sure that the 2010's pcs stick out a bit, so some cutting is necessary.

Yes, you can trim those & drill new holes to line up with the bumper cover. You can also pass on the absorber. That should save some money

Thanks, Sean. I'll see how much shaving is needed to reuse the absorber. Also found one corner light for $85 shipped. Now just need the driver side.

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update on the project. Thanks to the help of Sean, so far I've got all the right parts. They have been ordered and I'm picking them up at the local dealer tomorrow. There are a lot of pieces to complete the retrofit, and I added additional items that aren't necessary such as led fogs and no holes parking sensors (EPS dual by Proxel). The parts are slowly rolling in, and the bumper is scheduled to be painted in a week or two. Sorry for the delay, guys. I'll get it all done soon and post the results.

This is awesome. I also love the 2012 grill so I may keep an eye out for a good one from a salvage yard down the road where I can get all the pieces for cheaper since I'm in no hurry. I was just at a dealer today comparing the differences in the front bumpers of the 2 models. They had a 2011 next to a 2012 so it was easy to see how much better the new 21012 bumper looks. :)
