You're right, I use both while driving, it's called voice commands.

 

The blulogic bluetooth option for the prius ii mutes the radio automatically as well. Actually it mutes the radio for any sound that comes from your phone and plays the phone's sound instead. That's something that comes in pretty handy if you have an iPhone. Dedicated iPod connectors are for suckers.

 

Really? You can voice command scrolling mp3 folders while driving? Please tell us how.

 

No, I use bluetooth A2DP to stream music to my car, I control that on my nexus one. I was talking about navigation and phone dialer.

 

I have a scary image in my head of you actually doing this while driving, squinting to read the display screen while twisting the knob... Thankfully, we don't share the same roads.

I believe Austin Green said it best... If you don't like the Toyota stuff, put in an after-market alternative.

 

I don't need to squint to see the NAV display. NAV/Audio implementation = FAIL.

 

How irritating would it be if your Nexus One disabled its touchscreen once you start driving. Exactly.

If not, have your system checked out, it should mute itself when the phone is activated.
