Do I? I remember reading it as slowing down, but when I wrote this, I couldn't figure out how that worked. Water is being moved from equatorial regions to higher latitudes, yes? Since higher latitudes are closer to the axis of rotation, that means moving mass inward, decreases the moment arm, speeding up the rate of rotation, correct? Where I am getting it wrong?

I may be wrong (heck, I am *likely* wrong), but I think of conservation of angular momentum.

Could you rephrase this without the term "equilateral right triangle", which violates my sense of planar geometry. We aren't talking about great circle triangles with three 90 angles, correct?

Prelim Stats for April; Prius went 1386 miles at a cost of $121.76 and averaged 47.8 MPG. Leaf drove 1347 Miles at cost of $33.12 and averaged infinite MPGs!

I've got a better idea: Get everybody in North America to jump up and down exactly in sync with each other, and at a precise rate. Then get everybody in China to do the same, but exactly out of phase with the North Americans. Calculate the rate according to one of the vibrational harmonics of the planet, and we can set up a periodic vibration of the Earth sufficient to cause the planet to self-destruct, just like troops marching in perfect time with each other over a bridge.

(I read that this actually happened with a bridge once, after which they began ordering troops to march out of sync when crossing bridges.)

You have it right. Even your terminology is correct.
