ok i was looking into doing a 35% window tint. kinda need it here in idaho where it gets hot in summer. the company was using johnson window films and i saw an example of 35% tint and was not inpressed bearly looked like anything was there, and changed my mind and did not get the tint done. i mean maybe different brands look a bit darker despite being the 35%. so i was wondering if there are any other ways to keep car cool without shelling out for tint. i have a 2008 prius and has 77000 miles on it i am not sure if a/c is ready to be re charged and if it would help.

First thing is getting is weathertech windshield shade.
There insulated and custom cut to fit the big Prius windshield,
They sell them here in the Prius shop.
My car never sits a second without it in the window.
11 years later the dash looks new. Incredibly good shade keep the car cool.
I don’t get prop,e who let there car sit in the blazing sun with no shade.
Kills the interior and youth on all the electronics too.

Get a tint the darkest allowed by law. Don’t cheap out,
Mine was $250 from a tint shop that and have used for 20 years.
Really high quality still looks good after 11 years.

3 things every one of my cars get.
    Wheekskinz
    Weathertech
    Tint
And with the Prius wet okoles seat covers. They lasted about 9 years looking a littlle rough but have a frisky dog.
