Grr, successfully updated desktop to Windows 10 this morning. Lost all our windows calendar entries. Have to look around to see what else is mucked up.

Be careful of having two antvirus programs on Win 10. Just use the built in Defender and no other anti virus programs. Defender will shut down if you install another one. At least it did on my installs. Might be fixed by now as that was early on. I had to go back and manually uninstall my antivirus and spybot, then clean all residue, then reinstall Win 10.

Defender works fine it just does not go looking for stuff to remove on your system that is not harmful.

Also remove all proprietary bloat ware from Dell, HP etc before you install. Win 10 will go out and get the drivers you need.

8 upgrades at home and probably 50 clean installs at work.

Couldn't take it anymore, going back to Windows 7 on my desktop after only 2 days on Windows 10.

Windows 10 rebooted after every wake from sleep mode. Very slow to load desktop, and Edge runs like molasses.

It's been mentioned a few times, that prompts and "stealth" upgrades will cease after that July deadline for free upgrade. I wouldn't be surprised if that deadline gets shifted; that would seem in character with everything that's happened so far.

Sorry to hear that on your system. Is it a 32bit or 64bit architecture system? Is it "rated" to run Windows 10?

I had the same problem on mine on Windows 8.1 before I upgraded (i.e., rebooting on wake-up). For me, Windows 10 wakes up faster, gives me a desktop quicker; I run FireFox rather than Edge. This is on a Levono laptop with an I5 processorand 4GB ram.

64 bit AMD system. Was also running Firefox, since Chrome started using up system resources for some reason.

Now that I'm back on Windows 7, my Kaspersky is screwed up.

    Select Windows Task Manager
Click once on Windows 10 Update
    Select "END TASK"
Minimize Windows Task Manager for when the pop-up returns.

Yeah, I had those issues too with upgrades. The wake from sleep was the most annoying problem. A clean install fixed everything. I didn't like edge either. I'm a chrome user.
