    Oh yea, missing my 60+ mpg tanks from the spring. ;( The average has been creeping down for what seems like months. Must be all the short trips and the inopportune red lights.

    Coldest morning commute for me yet. 13-16F on my 50 mile highway commute in today. Scored an indicated 46 MPG (-2.5 MPG typical MID optimism= 43.5 MPG). Not bad. My last car (burning 91 octane) would struggle to get 19 MPG highway in the cold winter months.

    Temps that cold really increase aero drag and tire rolling resistance!

    I'm convinced. As my mileage was taking a real hit with temps staying at or below freezing for a week or so. I decided to block the grills. Yup - mileage back to near normal.
    Now, someone needs to jump on a "bra" with adjustable grill openings.
