Maybe they're the ones that fly into the Cuisinart wind generators.

+1 For 15 years I used 1 cap full of isopropyl alcohol in a gallon of -20 to -30 below zero washer fluid, Worked for me with our fleet of 8 van's. If I didn't they would freeze in the hoses at the colder temps. :)

Something from instructables that may work. Both used from separate spray bottle - not washer reservoir.

Preventative - 3 parts vinegar to 1 part water sprayed on the night before frost or snow expected. Claims that wipers are able to remove coating afterwards.

Post icing - 1 part water to 2 parts 70% isopropyl alcohol.

I don't scrape. I spritz 91% rubbing alcohol bought at Walmart (only store open in the AM) to clear the frost. The higher the concentration the better it works.

The neighbor across the street broke glass pouring hot water on it. The same thing can happen in the kitchen sink.

In the next couple of day's it is going to be -15 to-20 below If I put warm water on the windshield to get ride of frost, I think it would be a big problem. I may be wrong but it would scare me.

I can't tell whether you're kidding, but think about what JimN said above where pouring hot water into a frozen glass in a sink will usually result in a broken glass. Glass =$.49 Windshield = $100's. Which would be better to experiment with?

Of course! I was taught 50+ years ago not to put warm water on a windshield, and to keep my tongue off the flag pole too.

Let the ICE help keep the windshield defrosted. Now and then sacrifices have to be made.
