Wires, speakers, amp, install...

I am going to assume that the Amplifier is powered whenever the Accessory or Ignition power is on. There are a number of other things that go through that amp (Bluetooth, Navigation, Voice Response) whether the radio is on or not.

The schematics do not indicate any sort of 'control' wire to the amp... You might be able to find one near the radio.

Anyone find ACC near amp? Installing sub this weekend and trying to plan my Saturday. Where have most people tapped into ACC?


2008 with JBL no nav.

 

There's a small gray wire going into the JBL amp that I tapped for ACC. But you also can tap the 12V plug in the center console, many people do that instead.

I got the PAC OEM2, I used this to tap my front and back speakers and create the line output converter. The OEM2 also provides you with a REM output to power on your amp every time your radio goes on.
