I had to tweak the wiring on the 2006, but what about the 2010?

An installer won't have a problem doing the wiring kit?

I wired a trailer socket on to my Prius last week. The job was pretty easy, maybe an hours work. I used a Smartlogic relay to avoid upsetting the Prius' light bulb sensing and get around the low current supply to the LED stop/tail lights, but this was pretty cheap (around £15, or about $22).

Trailer wiring here in the UK may be more complex than in Canada, as we need stop, tail, number (licence) plate, indicators (turn signals) and rear fog lights replicated on the trailer, so have a total of seven leads to hook up.

Any decent trailer place should be able to do the work in an hour or less, based on my experience.
