I agree, the exterior color selection is pathetic
    more suggested changes:
    more exterior colors
    more interior colors
    wheel selection would be nice
    lose the "ET" steering wheel
    lose the "flying bridge"
lose the heavy grain interior surfaces

where I come from, we call them "toilets" & most have to be R.V.'s before they have those options
    :D
on a serious note I'd be a tickled pink just to get rid of the fly bridge . . . . maybe switch over to the Prius v style dash

"i would like one in orange." Mandarin or Habanero ?

"HV/EV control on the steering wheel"
I suggested this during the prototype testing when there was no button at all.
Changes to the production battery pack design and management to allow regen charge stacking make this button placement less of an issue now.

How about a white paper/tech note on the algorithms used to calculate ev/hv range, kw/gas used ect.
There is a little more room for a larger battery pack if internal battery module layout would allow.
20 amp level 1 charge option would save about 45 minutes on a full charge. Would go nicely with the slightly larger pack.
How about a customizable display screen for scangauge, torque, obd2 type data? Log and save data to external device?

i'm onboard with losing the flying bridge. someone should do a poll for prius team to take note. maybe a 'console design contest'!:p

I think I'm one of the few that REALLY like that design choice.

it would be an interesting poll. i'm not sure what the outcome would be. my fear is that toy will come up with something worse. in the 15 years we've been driving them, there's never been an improvement, imo.

Are the green stickers issued in equal quantities to each automaker like the old stickers. So Toyota would run out first but there will still be eligible Ford vehicles?

Doubling the range would cost Toyota about $3k or so (assuming retail Lion prices), but adding another 5kWh of capacity would qualify for a little over $2k more in Federal tax incentives, making the retail difference only around $1,000. Who wouldn't pay $1,000 for double the range?

    Someone who wanted trunk space.

I'd love to know if Toyota has done crash testing on a PiP with beefier suspension & an extra 150lbs or more of batteries. That'd be a dead giveaway.

hopefully, the gen IV will have a redesigned chassis with room for more battery without losing trunk space. they were able to increase trunk space on the gen II hycam without losing battery power, and increasing mpg's by 10%.

I think this time it was just a limit on stickers without regard to manufacturer.
