Good, we need more people to ask for this. I did in post 135 as my #6 wish.

 

Automatically foldable outer rear-view mirrors: fold when you lock the car, unfold when you put it in D, R, or B.

 

HV mode that's optimized for the PIP not copied from the non plug in. Example ICE shut down on deceleration should happen at 62 MPH like in EV mode.

 

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but:

A revamped Tire Pressure Monitor System that doesn't use expensive, fragile, hard-to-program sensors in each tire.

 

… and that don't get destroyed by using Toyota's flat solution for the PiP. That's just dumb.

 

My Buick has that.

 

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but......
I don't know if this has been mentioned in this post (I've seen complaints about it) but fix the "FINISH" part of the timer. I use both timers, one for the weekdays and one for weekends (and vacations, holidays, etc.). The FINISH timer should know what type (L1 or L2) of charger you have plugged in and the state of charge you're starting from and finish by the time stated. Typically it just starts 3 hours before you leave.

Or better yet fix it so we can have multiple timers. My thermostat at home is the size of a pack of cigarettes and I can program it with multiple cycles per day and for each day of the week.

 

I've been driving my PIP since Feb. 2012.

I drive 15 miles to work, with 3 miles of highway. During the Highway segment I usually press the HV to lock in and save the Battery until I get off and Press it again to go back to EV. I can then almost get to work before the battery runs out.

However, if I forget to Press the button to go into HV, when I get off the Highway I have very little battery left, so I drive with the engine more than desired.

I wish I could set an option to Force HV mode whenever I go above 62 mph, when the engine comes on.

Another wish - that we had a button to reset the engine to off below 62 mph, if it turns on and then stays on until warmup, like if I bump up unexpectedly to the Power Area and the engine start, yet know I don't need the engine any more.

 

European PiP does that. They don't have blended mode like us and they wish to have it.

Having option is good.

There's a ~2-3% difference in fuel economy, and I imagine a ~4-5% decrease in the drag coefficient with grill blocking.

1. Option for increased range, up to 25 miles / 40 km.

2. Along with that increased range, increased top EV speed, up to 110 kmh / 68 mph.

3. Along with that increased range, increased acceleration on EV, so that flooring it doesn't activate HV mode.

4. AWD.

5. Better solution for charger cable lock. Perhaps something like this:



6. Availability of accessories in Canada. Currently the only Plug-in Prius accessory available in Canada is the block heater. Toyota Canada doesn't carry any of the other accessories, including cargo mats and what not. Wth?

7. Remove those stupid tire pressure sensors.

8. Spare mini-tire option, with a rear cargo space bracket for it.

9. Electric heater for car pre-warm up when plugged in. In other words, allow the car to warm up via an electric heater when you press the AC button on the remote, but only when the EV charger is attached.

10. Cheaper and more consistent NAV updates. This should apply to ALL Toyota and Lexus vehicles.

11. NAV audio decreases radio audio. Right now radio continues to play at full volume. (Not sure if I have this set correctly.)

12. NAV audio increases with car speed.

13. Get rid of the flying buttress design for the console.

14. Cargo tray that allows access to the storage compartment.
