We were discussing this today.

First, we'd hire a lawyer, an accountant/CPA, and a financial adviser - all separate people - plus a secretary to handle the inevitable flood of calls/letters.

After setting up various trust accounts to ensure that our offspring/grandchildren will be able to attend college, and we fund a couple of pet charities, we go on vacation - preferably, for the first year or so, in a suite on some sort of cruise ship... one of those small, intimate cruises where they remember your preferences from year to year.

Then, we'll move to a tropical paradise, and name it "Cognito"...

 

Tear up the ticket, tell nobody about it, and never buy another again.
