I kept the title of the thread rather generic so that perhaps others could post parts cars in their areas.

My friends at Pull-a-Part in Tucson notified me yesterday that they have a fresh 01 Prius just added. I don't currently need anything so I'm not planning a trip. They have a website and are a moderately large SE chain. Moderate prices and good to work with.

    Hope this helps someone.

I just pulled a taillight off a beautiful '02 at U Pull-it here in Omaha last week. I also got to check out how to get the rear bumper cover off before I had to do it on my own Pri.

Somebody in Private Sales has a Gen 1 for $250. See post 3 for a listing of the issues.

In California there are a lot of Priuses, bought one running great for $1000 not too long ago,
so when people want $1000 for a parts car they are a bit off.
I'd buy that one for $250 if local, I have one smashed up but still running great with good battery right now.

We've had 4 over the past year, never more than 2 at a time, tho. I repaired my $400 "parts car" with a $25 brake booster pump. I took it to Oregon last summer for the eclipse.

I've shopped at the Pick n Pull in southside Sac in the past. Got a whole A/C system for an old Chevy Sprint for $75.

At our local picky pull, usually the battery is gone, catalytic converter, too. I've pulled those safety interlock things too.

I went and visited the 01 in the pickypull yard yesterday. Pretty sad, it's tags expired in Aug. 2016, so pretty sure that the HV battery was the problem. There were weeds all over the underside and a dent where the passenger door and the right fender meet. Interior was nice, of course. They always are. . . I got the HV control box for Leve, and a rear view mirror for my "$400" 02. The hybrid battery was still in it, I pulled the orange safety lock. I love having a parts car easily available & at controlled prices, but it's always kinda sad that another one bites the dust.

Mailing Leve's part today. And installing my new mirror. Woo hoo!
