    Hello everybody!
Planning on getting an HID kit for the Prius. Now I can't decide on which ones to get, 4300K or 6000K. Would the 6000K be too blue? I'm planning on getting them from here Toyota Prius HID Xenon Headlight Package Deal - Toyota Prius HID Lights
Also, what's an accessory wiring harness? Do I need it?
    Thanks!

4300K, it's the color temp of oem HIDs, and puts out the most usable light. 6000K might look cool, but in rainy, weather, when the roads are wet, the bluish light of the 6000K bulbs disappears into the roadway. The warmer light of 4300K provides some contrast and gives visibility on the same wet road surfaces.

The accessory wiring harness is most likely a relay harness. Personally, I prefer using them because they bypass the factory wiring. Additionally, I use dual relay HID harnesses like this:

because, unlike single relay harnesses, if one relay fails, one headlight will still light.

Well, it depends on your wattage.

If 35 watt system go with 4300K the color will be more OEM

If 55 watt, the 6000K's the hue starts blue but will flush out to a clean white when fully warm. I have this on my Porsche

I installed the XenonSupply kit on my PriusC a few years back. I didn't use the accessory wiring harness and it worked fine... most of the time. Sometimes only one of the two would light-up which would require shutting them off and back on again. I recommend using the additional accessory relay harness.

My 55 watts 6k bulbs were def. blue. I don't see why that 55 watt would be as one is power and other is color temp. My guess is perhaps different manufacturer.

Must be by Manufacturer thing, because. I assumed the 35 watt to be the same as my 55 watt and it turns out was definitely with a blue hue. Seller is sending me 4300K for the Prius.

Once, photobucket comes back online, I will post the pics of each.

+1 on the RELAY, the head light switch and connectors are taking extreme loads on start up.

So the relay connects the HIDs to the battery directly, right? Would that mean I would have to switch my light off whenever I turn off the car? Or would it automatically shut off 30 seconds after I lock the car? Are we talking about 35w and 55w output from the car? Or the ballasts?

Yes, directly to the battery but when powered down the relay will also shut off the lights even if left on, but you need to confirm this on your own. It works on my MIL's Gen 1.

Either 35 or 55 watt ballast will use the same relay system.

Understood! I guess I will try out the 35w ones without the ballast first, and if I'll run into any problems will get the relay. Thanks!

Oh no, they all should have ballasts as that is what powers the HID bulb. The relay is the option, with or without.

Ahhh sorry, I mistyped. I meant to say I will try it out without the relay first.

I have the Retrofit Source 5000k bulbs and I think they're a perfect compromise. It's pure white, no yellows or blues and work extremely well in the rain. I use a set of Denso (Lexus) ballast with them and the performance of the lights is awesome!

Here's 4300K bulbs from cnlight, using 35w AC ballasts on my Camry. No blue, pure white light. Homemade dual relay 14 gauge wiring harness, powered directly off the battery:

The projector foglights are using 2500K Nokya halogens. Provides great contrast for rainy, wet roads.

Ok, so i had a problem that one headlight would sometimes stop working. I thought it was a power issue, so i installed the relay. Same thing with the relay happens. Any thoughts? Bad bulb?
