YIKES: Experienced unexplained acceleration, already had brakes reprogrammed

    It really depends on how tall you are and whether you have long legs, but keep in mind that the CC isn't supposed to used while cornering or in the rain. Fixed position in a different location like the wiper stalk would still be a "design flaw" because I've activated it by accident quite a few times.

    But then some of us were taught to drive automatics that way. It does reduce reaction time especially when you can cover the break just in case....

    Update: uneventful return of car after Toyota central folks finally arrived at dealer drove car 20 miles without reproduction. In the absence of other reports of similar symptoms I'll assume it was a leg bump induced "resume" of the cruise system. Over and out.
