... you're momentarily worried when your car "stalls" in your driveway.

... you can't figure out why your car won't start, until it finally dawns on you that the power button is not the one marked "P".

... you find a typo in the owner's manual (unless it turns out there really is a "diver airbag").

...upon starting the car on a cold morning, in an attempt to warm it up quickly so it can warm YOU up, you punch the accelerator repeatedly (vroom, vroom = NOT)

Hmmm... I'm not sure. I guess I'll have to try "dive" as a voice command and see what happens.

The car will honk twice say "Dive! Dive!' and honk twice again.

(Or maybe its honk three times, I was a Destroyer type anyway.)

If you fumble about you for the car keys even though the car unlocked itself for you before you got in, you might be a rookie.

Agreed... I found the energy display screen to be far too "busy" for my tastes.

I don't have to fumble for my keys to use my car remote to unlock my house any more either. Now I just put my hand on the doorknob and wait for my house to beep twice at me.

    Oh yeah, I forgot one...

... you drive around with the energy display on and the climate control and stereo off, in an attempt to train yourself to identify the different operating modes by sound.

...you get the 5-min bar up to 100 for the first time, and you take a picture of it with your camera phone. Of course, you wait until you park to take the picture--you may be a rookie, but you're not dumb!

Oh, and you email it to your techie brother, 'cos you know he'll appreciate it too.

Same, but my son LOVES to watch this screen. He dutifully announces to everyone whe the wheels of the little car have stoped spinning.

When you use the SKS for door entry, but still put the FOB in the slot...

Or stop the car and reach for the keys but they're not there, they're still in your pocket. I only did that for the first few days, though.

You leave your car with the valet for the first time and you're so nervous about whether they'll know how to deal with it you forget that you've got the key fob in your pocket... Then they come through the restaurant looking for you! That happened to me my first week...
