Yeah, our women can make us put up with the weirdest things. Fortunately, mine doesn't have any gay friends so I'm safe in that respect. Yuck.

Your comment seems a little inconsistent with your sign-off:

"Love asks us that we be a little braver than is comfortable, a little more generous, a little more flexible. It means living on the edge more than we care to." - Norman Mailer

Well thank you Tony.... :) I'm sure y'all know I don't give a damn what orientation you are, y'all human and that's that.

Have fun at the antique mall, ain't my thing, but the pen thing certainly sounds cool, unique, and fun! :)

'nah... :) I've always maintained I've had zero, zip, nada, problems/bias, etc., against homosexuals, although I retain my right to not prefer/like/whatever the idea of homosexuality. I really don't care, but at the same time, I can't like say, "Hey, I really like that idea!!!"

i hope I have a good time too!

Although I did find out I'd be considered a "bear"...

For the first time in a month, DH and I actually have the weekend off together. Thinking about going to down to Houston on Saturday. It is Museum District Day....16 museums are waiving entrance fees, plus METRO has free shuttles between all of them. If you are in Houston, check it out!!!!

Going for a drive in my Prius to check out the cruise control just retrofitted by my local dealer. £200 well spent!

    my plans:

Bird club meeting tonight (I'm still on the BOD .... probably barely now b/c of the way I don't listen to people)

Tomorrow: cleaning up poop... all them bird cages I don't do today. and then leaving for out of town places.

Monday: Job interview... again. Potentially this time I'll have one. :D I'd be thrilled if I did.

    Update:

I had one of the most disturbing weekends ever.

I now know what a good friend meant when he said, "My tolerance for gays ends at the door of any gay bar..."

Ok, so being a sport, as I always am, I ended up, as I posted, going to the gay bar with my GF (this whole thing because a good friend of hers is gay), and it lasted all of maybe 7 minutes.

It was the most vulgar place I have ever been in, period. I was actually moderately pissed off I had went in, in the first place. I really can't get into too many details, but let's just say this place had a room in the back where guys could "entertain" themselves in various manners, and instead of televising sports on TV's, gay porn was actually playing... I just wanted out of that environment FAST.

Then, the next day, circumstances took us through "boystown", hit up a place owned by a lesbian, and at that point, I'm like, "OK, enough of the gay stuff...."

I've been explaining it like this:

It's like somone in your car putting a crappy CD in the player. You listen to it because hey, who cares, it's only music right?

Then, they go and put it on repeat...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've nothing against gay folks, while at the same time, I'm not down with that crowd, it rubs me the wrong way in almost every possible sense...

Hmmm, MS I can't top your weekend, I work the road this Fri 7p-3a then Sat & Sun its yard work.. :(

My wife has Gay freinds, They are a blast to hang with... B)

Gay Bar? In Tampa or Orlando? If its in Orlando I hear they have a pretty good Drag show..

Dinner with the gay couple? Most of the time they can be a blast as long as one of them doesn't start rubbing your leg because their GayDar wires got crossed..     <J/K> you should have fun though.... :)

    Enjoy, Cheers! ;)
