The EPA has released official ratings for the mid-range Tesla Model S with the 60-kw-h battery, which scores a rating of 94/97 mpge city/highway, and 95 mpge combined. In addition, the government agency has rated the mid-level battery pack’s range at 208 miles. Although the 60-kW-h battery provides less range than the 85-kW-h unit, found in our 2013 Car of the Year, the mid-range model uses less energy to travel 100 miles....
The Prius is now 15 years old. It took 15 years to sell 5 million Toyota hybrids, now at 1.2 million per year, another 5 millions may be sold in the next 4 years!
The 53 mpg Prius c hybrid subcompact rolls into 2013 with interior upgrades that now include a standard SofTex®-trimmed steering wheel on the Prius c Four, and a black SofTex dash panel on Prius c Two and Three models, matching the dash of the premium Prius c Four.
The MSRP for the Prius c will range from $19,080 for the Prius c One to $23,360 for the Prius c Four, an increase of $130 or 0.6 percent. The 2013 Prius c will arrive at dealerships in early January.
Danny's note: Just like in the v for 2013, I'm very happy to see Toyota adding the SofTex material to the steering wheel on the SofTex-equipped Prius c models in 2013. It was a glaring mistake when both of those cars were released.
