Here is my take on giving the hybrid battery a little extra cooling.

Using 3 25mm fans installed inside the air duct where the heat leaves the hybrid battery.

This also fixes the issue where the plastic duct gets warped and doesnt allow the normal amount of air to pass through.

The Dr. Prius image is without it connected on a 95F day to show what the temps are of the hybrid battery.

I will test further and upload more pictures.

Hey folks,

I’ve got a 2012 Prius with cloth seats and I’m thinking about adding seat covers to protect the interior and maybe improve comfort on longer drives.

I’ve seen threads on seat covers for Gen 3 and some talk about airbag compatibility and fit issues, especially with custom vs universal types.

Has anyone found seat covers that fit well without interfering with airbags or looking cheesy? What brands/materials have held up nicely?

Any pics or personal experiences would be really...

Toyota's OEM carpet floor mat doesn't have a rubber inset on the driver's mat. Ours lasted about 6 months before it was worn right through. I was vacuuming out the interior today, thought I'd try a repair, with some rubber floor mat material I had.

Cut it to size, then pre-drilled a series of holes around the perimeter. Did the stiching with a Tandy Sewing Awl. It'd been so long since I'd used one, I'd forgotten how they work, had to watch a YouTube video. The waxed thread is very grippy,...

I recently came across a few videos where the Gen 3 Prius has OEM turn signals in the mirrors. Are these Canadian or International models? I ask as I have not seen a Gen 3 with turn signal blinkers in the side mirrors here in the states. Perhaps, I just haven't notice it or are they available here? Also, are they plug and play to the existing power mirror harness or require additional wiring?
