I have a 2012 Prius V and the blower motor is cooked. I bought an aftermarket replacement online but it was for a right hand drive vehicle and mine is left hand drive. When I put the replacement in the fan sucked air rather than blew. I tried reversing the polarity of the wiring but it blew the new motor immediately.

My question is, where can I buy a replacement part? The part number on the old motor is 272700-8074. I can’t find anywhere that stocks it.

I have looked and didn't find anything that talks to this on this forum or YouTube. I lifted my Prius V up in the air looking for the place where the cables to the wheels connect to the single cable that goes to the foot pedal. The cable go into the cabin at about where the door pillar is between the front and back doors.

To start off, I just got this car and successfully fixed the brake booster failure. Now sonce Ive been driving it all the real problems have been coning out of the woodwork. I diagnosed it down to the puddle of oil in the intake manifold. Ive researched enough to know this is a known problem. The symptoms were knocking and shaking at 50% power and 20-30mph with mild shaking at higher speeds. No coolant or oil loss that I can detect from 300 miles of driving.

Hello all, I have a 2013 Prius v with 132K miles. I just found this chat forum last week, so thank you. I just took my Prius in to the dealer for a checkup which included draining and refilling the various fluids, oil change and a new set of tires. They explained that the Timing Cover Gasket needed to be fixed/replaced. The estimated cost is $3,597. I understand this is to avoid a major leak of oil over the engine. Wifes 2016 Prius V 5 <60k miles (New to us) The smart key system stops working randomly.

Obviously not a good situation for mom. The system will lock / unlock / start the car a bunch of times then it will do the key not found and the fob has to be put against the start button to work. Have any of you ran into this?

I've changed the 12 volt with a known good one. Also confirmed the suspect battery is good.
Replaced the key fob batteries twice with new ones, and replaced...

I just bought a fixer upper. 2012 v wagon. My main question is when the brake system fails according to the toyota customer support program for this issue, what parts can or should be used. The parts new are quite pricey, just trying to save a buck, ill even rebuild the assembly if someone points me to the right parts.

BTW it is currently showing all the dash lights and the brake pedal does feel weird to me. Car was diagnosed by Toyota dealer.

So, new to me V w/ ~153k miles. Since I’m furloughed right now, tackling cleaning the EGR & manifold.
I missed taking off the exhaust manifold MAP sensor (oops! I was still kinda numb after the hassles of removing the EGR cooler ) and it was submerged in degreaser solution for a few hours. Should I replace it??

Also going to change the plugs, replace water pump, both coolants (seems to have been done around 100k) & tranny fluid.
I wasn’t sure about the inverter water pump… my ‘05s went...

Issue: Overtime our Prius V has a wabble sensation when driving from 0 to 40 on a even road. Kind of feels like might be coming from front right. It rides better on uneven road or with little potholes as soon as it hits something it resets the vibration.

FYI. In Fresh Air mode, what goes in must go out.

Setting your car in Fresh Air Mode (not recycled) will allow fresh air into the cabin and all that same air out through the hybrid fan system and channel all that air out through the hybrid battery modules to cool them down without using the hybrid fan system. How do you know if this is working? Have someone from inside the car turn the cabin fan on at full blast and in Fresh Air mode with all windows closed. Then go to the rear bumper...

Hello All,
Any advice on a re-occurring misfire when all of the following has been completed? Running out of options other than throwing more parts at it.
223K miles currently with misfire codes. No coolant loss, consumes 1 qt of oil between oil changes

Hi there, quick question:

I just changed my oil at 210,000 miles with 0W-20 full synthetic. Unfortunately I didn't have the correct oil wrench so I had to leave the filter on. (I'll change it sometime soon because I bought one since). I overfilled the oil and simply put the whole 5 quarts.

However, after I did the oil change, now when I start the car and the ICE kicks on, the engine knocks and rattles a lot. I checked the error code and got error P0303 which shows misfire in cylinder 3....

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on this forum. I'm trying to learn more about the hybrid battery system and eventually become a Prius wizard.

Currently driving a 2014 Prius V with close to 80k miles on it. Car currently runs fine, and an OBDII scanner shows zero error codes, but I think the hybrid battery has gotten significantly worse since buying it at 70k miles last year. "EV mode" seems to last for less distance every time I try it, and EV mode will end (engine restarts)...

Sorry in advance for the long post.

TLDR: how hard *really* is the intake manifold/EGR replacement/cleaning? How long will it take to swap parts out, assuming I am a beginner who has done car repairs in the past, but has also messed up and needed a professional to "save the day". It seems simple but very involved, and I don't want to end up halfway through tearing it apart or putting it together and end up with a non-drivable vehicle.
